FrostWire is a free P2P file sharing client built from the well known LimeWire client that handles Gnutella protocol and BitTorrent protocol. The FrostWired is developed by members of the LimeWire open source community.

Uses of FrostWires
FrostWire includes different functionality of free and pro version of LimeWire. On top of that, It contains no pop-ups, no nag screens, no inhibiting features. User would not get bombarded by ads. In addition, FrostWire users do not have to worry about simultaneous download restrictions.
FrostWire has some new features. It comes with friendly online chatroom. However, you would not be able to find some of the LimeWire features such as the instant messenger in FrostWire.
By default, TLS encryption is enabled for connections of FrostWire. This can be disabled in the preference. You can make more connections using FrostWire now.
FrostWire uses BitTorrent engine developed by Azureus technology. Before this, a simplified version of LimeWire’s BitTorrent engine was used.
FrostWire allows wireless filesharing between Android Devices running FrostWire for Android and deskstop client. You do not have to preconfigure either device. These devices are discovered automatically if they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
FrostWire is now compatible with iTune.
